Unfortunately, when I received this machine I observed the following:
Upon closer inspection it became apparent that the drum was bent, possibly a a result of the machine being dropped, and that it was too close to the drum in the second position. |

After some time I decided that if the drum could be bent out of shape, then I should be able to bend it back into shape. I decided to give it a try and used two different methods to gently bend the drum. After several tries, the drum started to take on its proper position and shape. I was eventually able to rotate the crank, but the drum still wasn't aligned correctly and the machine jammed after I turned the crank 180 degrees. Everything was jammed up, so I had to remove the machine from its base and loosen all the major points of structural support, after which I was able to reset all registers and drums to their original positions. I used a clamp to bend the drum a bit more, and after a few more failed attempts and a few more tries, it is back in shape and it now seems to be working quite well! |
