Burroughs introduced their unusual subtraction key with this model, which can be seen at the top left of the keyboard above. When depressed, this key performed subtraction only on the left-most column of numbers.

This model was the only Burroughs model that featured keystems that were installed vertically. All subsequent models featured keystems that were horizontally installed.
